This account supports the oversight and development of staff for the InterVarsity work at the whole U of I.
Since the chapter started in 1939, IV at the U of I has been on the cutting edge of campus ministry. In the 1990s, that included planting focused-ministry chapters to reach segments of the campus that the original chapter (now the "undergrad chapter") could not. At current writing, there are InterVarsity chapters or focused ministry for Graduate students, Greek students, Law students, Vet Med students, International students, Black students, and Marching Illini, as well as a very diverse undergrad chapter.
Our campus-town ministry location (616 E Green behind McDonald's) has improved hospitality, provides a venue for student training, and blessed staff with added efficiency. The giving of alumni, chapters, parents, and the fundraising of the staff here support the ministry center, oversight of the overall ministry, and outreach at nearby campuses.
