Jacob Foor
National Director of Law School Ministry
Jacob is entering his 17th year on staff with InterVarsity. He serves as the National Director of Law School Ministry, overseeing ministry efforts on the 198 accredited law schools throughout the country.
Law schools stand at the epicenter of personal formation and professional development for emerging leaders who will shape individual lives, communities, and the broader landscape of local and national politics. By drawing some of the brightest and most ambitious minds, these institutions exert profound influence on our culture and justice system.
Yet the prevailing ideals, values, and goals of the legal profession often fall short of reflecting the Kingdom of God. This disconnect can contribute to broken lives, a distorted justice system, and a diminished vision of shalom within our communities and nation.
We believe Jesus seeks to redeem these institutions—along with our justice system and our politics—by inviting students and faculty into a life-saving relationship with Him, a formative journey of discipleship, and a lifelong integration of their legal vocation with Kingdom values.
Jacob hopes to develop LSM communities that invite students and faculty to be formed by Jesus, welcome others into His Kingdom within the academy, and allow Him to shape their vocations toward a Kingdom-shaped justice for decades to come.
