Laura is working with American and international graduate students and faculty on campus to strengthen and further develop the community of scholars on campus who encourage each other in Christ, bear witness to Jesus in the University, and integrate their faith into their academic work and life.
After receiving her MA in English from NC State, Laura served on faculty in the Department of English. She has taught English, communications, and English as a Second Language at universities in China, Texas, and North Carolina—most recently at William Peace University and at NC State’s Global Training Initiative and Department of Foreign Languages and Literatures.
She holds a Post-Baccalaureate Certificate in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro, and a BA in English from the University of Virginia.
