Josh has served with InterVarsity in the Red River Region (Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas & Louisiana) for 24 years. Leadership, faith and prayer have been common themes throughout his ministry experience.In 1998 he was sent to Red River from the Carolinas as he was deemed to have more “planting gifts” that fit the revitalizing of InterVarsity’s work in what was then the Southwest Region (Texas and Oklahoma). Initially, Josh planted the ministry at University of Houston where he worked as a Campus Minister for ten years. Next, he served as an Area Ministry Director in the Texas Gulf Coast Area for nine years, growing the Area’s ministry and leading planting at several new campuses. Next, he served for four years as the Assoc. Regional Director, with a focus on evangelism.In March 2020 Josh assumed the role of Red River Regional Director overseeing all of InterVarsity's work in the Region.Josh has been happily married to his wife Ellen for seventeen years (they met while working on staff together at University of Houston), and they have two children, Jack (12) and June (9).
