Summer Richardson
Campus Staff Minister
When I was a student at the University of Alabama, InterVarsity changed my life in ways I never expected. I joined as a freshman, and over the next four years, God did incredible work in me — I grew in studying Scripture, built a deep relationship with Jesus, and overcame my fears about sharing my faith.
After graduation, God called me to invest in students the same way others invested in me. I moved to Auburn and planted InterVarsity at Tuskegee University. Since then, I’ve watched God move powerfully — hundreds of students have said yes to Jesus, and many are now leading Bible studies, prayer gatherings, and outreach on their own campuses. Just this fall, Tuskegee students reached over 170 of their peers in one week of outreach and are leading studies through the book of Acts. Emory’s Collegiate Black Christians chapter has launched a daily morning prayer meeting, and SUNO students are pioneering bold student-led initiatives.
Today, my ministry has expanded beyond one campus. In addition to leading Tuskegee and Emory, I also coach staff and student leaders at HBCUs across the nation — equipping them to reach their peers with the hope of Christ. The impact is multiplying far beyond what I could have imagined when I first said yes to God’s call.
I would love to invite you to be part of this mission. Whether through prayer or financial support — one-time or ongoing — your partnership helps students encounter Jesus, grow in discipleship, and live out their faith on campuses and in their communities.
Thank you for considering joining me in this Kingdom work. Together, we’re raising up the next generation of world changers.
